The robust pneumatic edge banders
There is no lighter edge router than an edge router with compressed air. Especially when your hand and arm start to hurt because you have to work with the edge router for a long time or with great sensitivity, the compressed air drive cannot be beaten. This type of compressed air edge router is often referred to as a lamello router by carpenters and joiners.
This is why Hessler has expanded its programme of pneumatic edge milling machines with the KF 400 III. It has a proven compressed air drive and impresses with its performance and manageability.
- Pneumatic drive
- Collet up to shank 8 mm
- max. 24,000 rpm, speed adjustable
- max. 6 bar, approx. 600 l/min +1 drop of oil/min
- Table
- Made of metal
- Thick, robust workpiece support
- Milling cutter
- With thrust bearing
- Milling cutter max. diameter 28 mm

The KF 400 III edge router with compressed air can also be fitted with an indexable insert router. If the exhaust air interferes with work, an optional exhaust air duct is available. This allows the exhaust air to be discharged to the side.
For intensive operation, a maintenance unit or an upstream oiler is required to ensure that sufficient oil is introduced into the motor (approx. 1 drop/minute). A small oil bottle with a description of the oil specification is included in the delivery for starting.

System features
Field of application
Compared to electric edge banders, the KF 400 III pneumatic edge banders are lightweight and easy to handle. They are typically used for chamfering or rounding plastic edgebands that have already been milled flush or on panels. The router can be used on wood and plastic with a bevel or radius of up to 3 mm.
Function and operation
The KF 400 III edge router has an ergonomically designed handle. It can be easily guided with a router bit with thrust bearing and on the solid base plate. We offer commercial users a free, no-obligation trial.

Technical requirements
For operation, it is necessary to regularly add compressed air appliance oil. For sporadic use, this can be done by dripping directly into the compressed air connection plug or, for continuous operation, by using a maintenance unit that is set to 1 drop of oil per minute.
Scope of delivery
The KF 400 III edge router with compressed air is supplied as standard with a permanently fitted R2 router bit. The router is assembled and tested. A small bottle of compressed air tool oil is also supplied.
