2nd problem
When cutting plywood, internal radii often form after CNC machining, which is undesirable in demanding wood connections.
Especially in modern timber construction, cuts often have to be made exactly at right angles. Manual finishing with a chisel, jigsaw or router is time-consuming and does not always result in uniform results.
3rd solution
The MZ 02 90F A E large-size planer has been developed to precisely and reproducibly cut out plywood. The machine removes existing internal radii quickly and cleanly and produces sharp-edged internal corners.
This reduces rework, speeds up work processes and significantly improves the accuracy of wood connections.
How it works
- The machine is positioned in the existing interior corner.
- The indexing system aligns the cutter exactly.
- The milling process is performed by tapping along the existing contour.
- The inner radius is precisely removed.
- A clean, right-angled interior corner is created for precise connections.
Technical highlights
- Professional solution for removing the plywood from the board
- Designed for large wood cross-sections
- Precision milling minimizes burrs
- High dimensional accuracy and repeatability
- Sharp-edged internal corners instead of CNC radii
- Significant time savings compared to manual rework
- Robust design for on-site and workshop use
- Suitable for modern timber and engineered wood construction
- Proven technology from the MZ-Ausklinker series
Use cases
- Breaking through the blocking timber in timber house construction
- Processing of CLT elements (Cross Laminated Timber)
- Cutouts for wood-to-wood connections
- Refinishing of CNC-milled interior corners
- Manufacturing right-angled connection points in engineered wood construction
7. Before
After CNC milling, a radius remains in the inner corner. This often prevents the components from fitting together exactly or requires additional manual finishing work.
8. Later
The interior corner is precisely cut and designed at a right angle. The connections fit neatly together and can be assembled without requiring any complex finishing work.
